Privacy policy

In brief

This website collects little data. The first time you arrive, we show a start page without measurement. After you continue to the homepage you can allow statistics and marketing. The only personal data we store ourselves in order to reply is what you send through the contact form.

Data controller

ETI Norge AS is the data controller for personal data collected via this website. If you have privacy questions, contact us at hei@etinorge.no.

Start page and necessary storage

A first visit is sent to /start, where you choose the look of the site. That page does not load Google Tag Manager and does not show a cookie banner. We set the eti-onboarded cookie (2 years) so the chooser is not shown again, and we store colour scheme and persona locally in the browser (theme and eti:persona). Your consent choice is stored in eti-cookie-consent (1 year) after you answer the banner.

Cloudflare may set cookies for bot protection and for Turnstile on the contact form.

Statistics and marketing

After you reach the homepage we show a banner. Statistics and marketing stay off until you allow them. Necessary cookies run without that ask.

If you allow statistics or marketing, we load Google Tag Manager from https://etinorge.no/cartdata (not from googletagmanager.com). The legal basis for those cookies is consent, under GDPR Article 6(1)(a). You can change or withdraw the choice from the cookie settings in the footer, or the button below.

If you arrive from a paid ad and have allowed marketing, we may store click ids for 90 days: _gcl_aw (Google), _fbc (Meta) and _epik (Pinterest).

After a successful contact form send, and only if marketing is allowed, we send a hashed email address (and hashed phone and name when provided) for conversion measurement. We do not send the message body or attachments to Tag Manager. Hashing is not anonymisation.

Contact form

When you submit the contact form, we process the information you provide:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• The content of your message
• Any attachments you upload

We store your enquiry and may forward it by email so we can follow up on your request. The legal basis is legitimate interest in answering enquiries you initiated yourself, under GDPR Article 6(1)(f).

Purpose and legal basis

The contact form is used solely to respond to and follow up on your enquiry. Statistics are used to understand traffic. Marketing is used to measure which ads led to a visit or a form send.

Retention

We delete enquiries when they are no longer needed for follow-up, typically within 12 months, unless otherwise required by law or a legitimate need for documentation. Cookie choices are remembered for one year. Click ids for up to 90 days.

Sharing with others

We do not share your information with third parties for marketing without consent. Technical subprocessors (Cloudflare for hosting and spam protection) may process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. When you have consented to statistics or marketing, Google’s tag infrastructure is used via our first-party /cartdata endpoint.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
